Mural Project for the school children at Projecto Fe.

On February 7, 2025, I traveled with a team from Wellspring Fellowship for a 10-day mission trip to Guatemala. We partnered with Proyecto Fe International—an Alaska-based organization that works closely with Colegio Bethel, a school in San Pedro La Laguna.

Our mission was to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students, families, teachers, and the broader community by building relationships, sharing our faith, and participating in various service projects. My primary project was to design and paint murals alongside the students and our team, transforming the walls of the school with color and creativity.

I’m grateful for all the support I received, which made it possible to secure travel, paints, brushes, and other needed materials. The murals are now complete, and the school is brighter and more welcoming than ever—an inspiring environment for both learning and community.

During my time there, I also had the joy of meeting the child our family sponsors, along with her parents. It was a profoundly meaningful experience, deepening the connection between our families.
