Hi, I am Esther, I was born and raised in the Netherlands, a country of water, windmills, cows, tulips, cheese and bicycles. I grew up in a very small village with few people and fewer opportunities! I spent most of my free time drawing on the floor of my bedroom. After attending a high school that embraced working with your hands and learning by listening to audio tapes instead of reading. I learned very quickly that I wasn’t going to be a book worm. I wanted to do something with my talent, drawing and painting the beautiful things I saw around me. Some of my friends were in college suggested that I sign up for an intake at a creative vocational school “Nimeto” Utrecht. I loved studying the old masters and did really well, my favorite part was art history and painting. I started working as a Sign painter and in my free time I was always drawing pictures and painting murals. In those days I traveled a lot and visited many amazing countries! I saw and experienced the awesome beauty of creation around us. I moved to Germany and opened my own Sign business “TwenteSIgn” I was my own boss! My favorite job was creating Designs and Illustrations for companies to use on car wraps and signs. In 2012 I met my future husband, and my life took a new direction! My amazing son and I moved all the way to the other side of the world to Alaska. Now after 12 years living in Alaska and being a wife, mom and stepmom of 3 amazing children and 3 grandchildren, I was very blessed by my Husband (who is my biggest fan and supporter) to drop out of the rat race! I am able to mainly focus on creating my art!
