“My First French Restaurant” – A Love Letter to Little Moments
Description
Le Consulat captures the charm of a small French restaurant tucked into the winding streets of Paris. Warm light spills from the windows while flowers and color bring life to the scene, inviting the viewer into a moment that feels both timeless and familiar.
The painting reflects the beauty of everyday places — the cafés, streets, and small corners of the world where conversations unfold, meals are shared, and life quietly happens.
It is a celebration of the atmosphere and romance found in simple moments.
Artist Inspiration
This piece was inspired by a little restaurant in France believed to have once been a gathering place for artists like Pablo Picasso and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
While painting it, I was reminded of childhood memories traveling with my father, a truck driver who introduced me to the world through food and small local restaurants. Along winding streets and hidden corners, I discovered new flavors, cultures, and moments that stayed with me long after the journey ended.
This painting became a doorway back to those memories — a tribute to the warmth of family, discovery, and the beauty of slowing down to savor life.
